Directors of Tango Desire Company, Fernanda and Alejandro bring together traditional milonga roots, academic dance training and strong stagecraft to create elegant, contemporary and authentically Argentine tango productions for theatres, festivals and international tours.

More than 20 years performing and teaching tango in Buenos Aires and over 30 cities across Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East.

Bio & Training

Fernanda Grosso and Alejandro Ferreyra form one of the most solid and respected tango partnerships in Buenos Aires. Their background combines the essence of the traditional milonga with strong academic and stage-based training, integrating the roots of social tango with the development of a contemporary, technical and expressive scenic style.

In 2015 they were selected for the prestigious program ENTA – National Argentine Tango Space, an initiative dedicated to transmitting the legacy of the great milongueros to new generations. There they trained with Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau, Carlitos Pérez, Rosa Forte, Milena Plebs, Eduardo Pareja, Elina Roldán, “Flaco” Dany, “Chino” Perico and other fundamental masters of Argentine tango.

Artistic Training

  • 2009–2020: Continuous training with renowned tango masters: Leandro Oliver & Laila Rezk, Sabrina & Rubén Veliz, Julio Balmaceda & Corina de La Rosa, Gabriel Misse, Gabriel Angio & Natalia Games, Alejandro Aquino & Natalia Hills, Alejandra Mantiñán, Natacha Poberaj, Pablo Verón, Miguel and Osvaldo Zotto, among others.
  • 2000–2004: Studies at EV Tango: tango, choreography, jazz and intensive weekly workshops with invited masters.
  • Ballet (Fernanda): Classical ballet training (1996–2004) at the Isabel Checca School. Conditioning and stretching with Laura Winter (Winter Method).
  • Image & Sound (Alejandro): Degree in Image and Sound Design (UBA), digital audio, live sound (SICA), audiovisual production and professional Adobe workflow.
  • Additional university education: Fernanda – Food Engineering (UADE) and Postgraduate Degree in Marketing and Sales (UCA).
  • Languages: English (both), Basic French (Fernanda), Portuguese (Alejandro).
